Arbutus has been a family owned and operated B.C. business for over 40 years. George "Curly" Ambrose started the company in the early 1940's with a couple of loyal helpers, tar buckets, ladders, and an old International half-ton. To these early pioneers, roofing meant shakes, flashings, and a lot of brick chimney work.

Today, many of the building materials have changed, but the philosophy has stayed the same - work hard, care for the people and the job!

Today the company has grown. President Rick Ambrose continues the solid traditions his father established. For over two generations, Arbutus has covered Vancouver and the lower mainland with up-to-date roofing expertise on all types of roofs: residential, commercial and industrial.
